PaymentNepal is secured due to the following arrangements:

  • Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) certification should be done by merchants for securing card details.
  • All transactions should be secured with the SSL protocol. Using SSL helps to encrypt the information so that card details and all other sensitive data are protected.
  • 3D Secure (Three Domain Secure) is a messaging protocol that involves three domains: the bank, the technology that processes the transaction, and the issuing bank. It is an additional security layer that helps with fraud prevention for card-not-present transactions.
